Richard Edwards - Pastor

Rick has been our pastor since mid-September 2007.

Previously he served United Methodist churches in the New York Annual Conference from 1974 to 2007. 

His interests range far and wide, including scripture, spirituality, peace, justice, science, theology, and church history. He served in the Peace Corps in Latin America, and avidly continues to follow events there in church and society, with a special interest in Colombian Methodism.

His roots in Methodism go back to the days of the early circuit riders. He is the husband of a pastor and the father of three daughters.

John Sundin - Organist

John Sundin moved to Moose Lake in 1968.  He and his wife Liz were married in 1970 and both became members at Moose Lake UMC.  John has been the organist here since 1976.   John has also sung in the choir, served as church treasurer, and taught Sunday School. Currently he also serves on the Administrative Council and chairs the Nurture committee.

Pam Poslusny - Church Secretary

Pam joined our team in June 2009. A native of the area, Pam returned here in 2005 after 23 years living in western and southern states. Active during those years in a number of other congregations, she gained experience in Sunday school and youth work. In high schools, GED programs, and community colleges she has taught English, the humanities, composition, and student strategies for success. As chair of the worship committee at MLUMC, she has a good sense of what we are about. Call her with your questions!

Sharyn Sarvela - Current Expense Treasurer

Sharyn grew up in Willow River, married and moved to the Twin Cities where she lived before returning to the Moose Lake area in 2004. Long an accountant by trade, she now operates an antique shop, specializing in depression glass and cut glass. Sharyn is active in the community in the Historical Society and the rescue of dogs. In our church, she is the artistic genius behind our beautiful liturgical fabrics.

Rick Ramey - Facilities Manager

Rick has been on our staff for several years, and cares for our building as if he lived in it. He is one of the Arrowhead Region's busiest senior volunteers. A favorite hobby is nurturing Monarch butterflies.
